The science learning process is not only in the form of collecting facts, data and concepts, but also the discovery process. The spread of Coronavirus disease 19 (Covid-19) has an impact on the education system, learning activities are carried out online or online using various digital platforms. These changes also occur evenly in SMP Kecamatan Singingi so that various problems and challenges arise in the IX grade science learning process at SMP Kecamatan Singingi including limited technological mastery, internet networks that are difficult to access, minimal learning support facilities, and poor learning environment conditions. Someone with good digital literacy skills is expected to be able to access, manage and analyze digital information. The condition of the online learning environment limits teachers to accompany and educate students directly so that it affects student motivation. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the level of digital literacy and motivation to learn science. The purpose of this study is to provide an objective description of the level of digital literacy and student learning motivation in learning during the Covid-19 pandemic so that it can be used as an evaluation in creating effective and efficient online learning.
The level of digital literacy of students is measured by using digital literacy test questions as many as 24 items that have been arranged according to indicators of digital literacy ability according to Ozdamar, namely indicators of digital media use, management of digital learning platforms, use of advanced digital media, and ethics and security of using digital media. The level of learning motivation was measured using a questionnaire with 24 positive statements based on indicators of the level of learning motivation proposed by Hamzah B. Uno, as many as 8 indicators, namely concentration, curiosity, enthusiasm, independence, readiness, enthusiasm and encouragement, never give up, and self-confident. The questions and questionnaires used have been validated and given to 171 students from 7 different schools in Singingi District using the google form.

The results of the analysis show that the digital literacy level of junior high school students in class IX Singing District in terms of the use of platforms in science learning boldly is in the low category with an average value of 47.4. The results of the analysis of the level of motivation to learn science in the medium category with an average value of 68.7. The results of the correlation test showed that the level of digital literacy did not have a relationship with the learning motivation of students of SMP Class IX Singingi sub-district. The conclusion of this research is that the level of digital literacy of junior high school students in class IX in Singingi sub-district is low and the level of student motivation is moderate, so further research is needed regarding these two aspects.
