Perbandingan Kuantitatif Antara Derajat Keasamanan (Ph) Kulit Lesi Dan Non Lesi Pada Pasien Psoriasis Vulgaris Di Pekanbaru
The skin is the largest organ located on the outer side of the human body. One of
functions is influenced by the acidity (pH). Level of normal human skin is acidic
with a pH value of 4.1-58. Some chronic skin infections have skin pH interactions,
such as psoriasis vulgaris. Cause of psoriasis is still unclear, and very few studies
have been conducted on the characteristics of the protective barrier in psoriasis
vulgaris including skin pH. The purpose of this study was to compare the pH of
the skin with lesions and non-lesions in psoriasis vulgaris. The design of this study
was a cross-sectional analytic with a total sample of 18 peoples. Results of this
study show the characteristics of the majority respondents are women (12 people),
and the most age are range of 31-40 years. The results of the measurement of skin
pH for psoriasis vulgaris lesions were 4,93±0,61 and non-lesion 4,34±0,64. Based
on statistical tests, there was no significant difference between men and women in
measuring the pH of the skin lesions (p value = 0,89) and non-lesion psoriasis
vulgaris (p value = 0.67). Based on statistical tests, there was a significant
comparison between pH of the skin lesions and non-lesion psoriasis vulgaris (p
value = 0.00).
