ABSTRACT
Rubber marketing system in Pangean District consist of auction system and
conventional system. The establishment of an auction system can help the
community’s economy in increasing income of rubber farmer. This research aims
to: 1) Analyzing production costs, income and efficiency of rubber farming,
auction marketing systems and conventional marketing systems, 2) Analyze the
income comparison of rubber farmers with auction marketing systems and
conventional marketing systems, 3) Analyzing the factors that influence farmers
to sell bokar to the auction system and the conventional system in Pangean
District. This research was conducted in the Pangean District Kuantan Singingi
Regency. The sampling method is based on the type of research with simple
random sampling techniques. The sample was taken as many as 60 people, where
each sample was taken 30 people from the auction marketing system and 30
people from the conventional marketing system. Data analysis used mathematical
methods and statistical methods of independent sample t-test. The results showed
that: 1) The production cost of the auction marketing system is higher than the
production cost of the conventional marketing system, where the respective
production costs are Rp 10.006.453/ha/year and Rp 9.512.086/ha/year.
respectively, the total income is Rp 10.262.754/ha/year and Rp 5.174.439/ha/year.
Rubber farming with auction marketing systems and conventional marketing
systems in Pangean District is efficient with R/C values of 2.10 and 1.59
respectively, 2) There was a significant difference between the income of rubber
farmers in the auction system and the conventional system in Pangean District
with a sign value of 0.000
