Manajemen Program Ekstrakurikuler English Day Di SMP Indonesian Creative School
In the educational process, it is necessary to be coordinated and directed.
While studying at school, apart from receiving an intracurricular type of education,
namely education and teaching consisting of subjects that are in accordance with the
content of the educational curriculum, schools also need to organize extracurricular
programs that function to optimally foster and develop the talents and interests of
students. SMP Indonesian Creative School Pekanbaru is one of the schools that has
2 curricula at once, namely the Cambrigde Assessment and the National Curriculum.
The author wants to do research at this school on English Day extracurricular
management because this school produces extraordinary achievements, especially in
the field of English.
The English Day extracurricular program aims to improve students' abilities in
the application of speaking, writing, reading and listening skills in using English in
everyday schools. The approach used is descriptive qualitative naturalistic, because
the implementation of research occurs naturally, as it is, in normal situations that
are not manipulated by circumstances and emphasizes natural descriptions or from
natural conditions or natural data collection. With this nature, direct involvement in
the field is required.
The results of this study indicate that English Day extracurricular management
can help improve students' English language skills according to maximum results
and improve language skills such as speaking, writing, reading and listening.
