ABSTRACT
Biomass Energy Research and Development Centre in Pekanbaru with the
Biomimetic Architecture Approach is a place that provides research and
development facilities on biomass energy. Biomass energy is part of renewable
energy that is environmental friendly by its processing but not utilized properly in
Pekanbaru. This design aims as a place to continue to innovate in the field of energy
conservation. The research method are survey location collecting literature study.
The results of this research is Biomimetic Architecture help the process by
designing architecture that inspired by Nature. In its application to building design,
biomimetics at the organism level is applied as the concept of oil palm biomassproducing
plants.
