Analisis Ekonomi Agroindustri Kopra Putih Di Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir

Indragiri Hilir Regency is one of the coconut centers in Indonesia with an
area of 421,002,00 Ha and production of 417,172.00 tons per year with the
number of farmers recorded as many as 78,512 families. In general, coconut in
Indragiri Hilir Regency is marketed in primary form, or has not been further
processed which causes low income received by farmers. Therefore,
diversification of coconut derivative products needs to be done as an effort to
increase the added value of coconut products with the aim of increasing the
income of white copra farmers and business actors. One of the coconut derivative
products in Indragiri Hilir Regency is white copra. The problems in the white
copra agroindustry are the small number of business actors, the weak knowledge
of white copra processing on the processing, and the number of white copra
products is still low. while the problem with the white copra trading system is the
selling price determined by the trader. The purpose of this study was to determine
the white copra processing process, to determine the income of white copra
business actors, to determine the added value of white copra, to determine the
channel, margin and efficiency of the white copra trade system in Indragiri Hilir
Regency.
Sampling method for white copra business actors uses the Accidental
Sampling method. This method was chosen because there is no statistically
recorded data related to white copra business actors in Indragiri Hilir Regency.
The number of samples taken for business actors was 45 respondents, while the
sampling method for collecting traders and exporters was using the sesus method
with a total sample of 5 people, one of whom was an exporter trader.
The results of the processing of coconut into white copra produce edible
white copra (Grade A), regular white copra (Grade B) and rijeck white copra
(Grade C). The amount of income earned by business actors who use sunlight is
high with an average income of . IDR. 6.713.742 per process production or IDR.
172.048.689,00 per year, while the processing using the oven has an income of
IDR. 5.883.409,00 per process production or IDR. 641.291.621,00 per year.
The white copra drying process in Indragiri Hilir Regency uses two
methods, namely using sunlight and processing using an oven. Based on the
calculation of the added value, it is known that the processing uses sunlight, for
grade A it provides an added value of IDR. 1.146,00 ( 35 %) of the product value,
grade B provides an added value of IDR. 895,00/kg ( 30 %) of the product value
and Grade C provides added value of IDR. 116,00/kg (5 % )of the product value.
The processing of white copra using an oven provides an added value for grade A
of IDR 1.479,00/kg (44 %) of the product value, grade B provides an added value
of IDR. 1.154,00/kg (38 %) of the product value and grade C provides an added
value of IDR.404,00/kg (18%) of product value.
Channel The white copra trade system in Indragiri Hilir Regency consists
of 3 channels, namely, Channel 1: Business actors sell white copra directly to

exporters in the region and then exporting traders to consumers in Bangladesh,
Pakistan and India with a total trading margin for white copra. grade A of IDR.
10,000.00/kg with an efficiency level of 18%, grade B white copra
IDR.8,000.00/kg with an efficiency level of 21%. This shows that the marketing of
grade A and grade B white copra in channel 1 is efficient.
Channel2: Business actors sell white copra to collecting traders, then
collecting traders sell to exporters outside the Indragiri Hilir Regency area, then
exporting traders export white copra to Bangladesh, Pakistan and India with a
total margin of grade A white copra of IDR. 10,000.00/kg with an efficiency level
of 19% and a trading system efficiency of IDR. 8,000.00/kg with an efficiency
level of 22%. This shows that the marketing of grade A and grade B white copra
on Channel 2 is quite efficient.
Channel3: Business actors sell grade C white copra to collectors, then
collectors sell to wholesalers, then wholesalers sell white copra to processing
industries in North Suatra Province and Central Java Province with a total
margin of C grade white copra of IDR. 1.950,00/kg with an efficiency level of 1%.
