Komunikasi Politik Pasangan Calon Kasmarni Dan Bagus Santoso Dalam Memenangkan Pilkada Kabupaten Bengkalis Di Era Pandemi Covid 19
This research was motivated by the victory of the Kasmarni - Bagus Santoso
pair in the Bengkalis Regency Pilkada, in the virtual era after the COVID-19
pandemic. The purpose of this study was to see how political communication
strategies, media use and campaign design were implemented. Political marketing
theory has been applied using the concept developed by Niffeneger in 1989.
The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data
collection techniques used are in-depth interviews, observation and documentation.
Determination of research information using purposive sampling, consisting of four
informants namely Kasmarni (Regent), Bagus Santoso (Vice Regent), Iskandar
(Chairman of the Winning Team) and Zikro (Chairman of the Field Team). The
research data was analyzed and processed using Meoleong data analysis through
data validation using the type of data triangulation.
The results show that the first is a Political Communication Strategy that is
applied in social media (Using all familiar platforms, Utilizing millennials or
people who are social media literate, Implementing a managerial system with
distribution of authority according to the main tasks and functions). The second
relates to the use of social media (media attack efforts, second, information
domination efforts, third flexibility efforts. Third is related to campaign design
(showing low profile political communication design, showing limited local wisdom
in political communication design)
