Analisis Daya Saing Ekspor Karet Alam Kering Indonesia Di Pasar Internasional
ABSTRACT
Indonesia, as a global exporter of dry natural rubber, competes to supply
the world's growing demand for dry natural rubber. The purpose of this study is to
analyze the competitiveness of Indonesia's dry natural rubber and determine the
factors that influence the export of Indonesian dry natural rubber in the
international market. This study includes annual time series data with dry natural
rubber kinds from 1990 to 2019. The Export Competitiveness Index (ECI)
analysis is used to analyze Indonesia's competitiveness in comparison to two
major competitors, Thailand and Malaysia. Using multiple linear regression
analysis, factors that are assumed to effect the export of dry natural rubber include
the world dry natural rubber price, the world synthetic rubber price, and the
exchange rate. The study' Export Competitiveness Index shows that the
competitiveness of Indonesia's dry natural rubber exports has fluctuated but
largely grown in the previous 30 years, and that it is superior than Thailand and
Malaysia. The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that together the
world dry natural rubber price, world synthetic rubber price, and the exchange rate
have a significant effect of 90.2 percent on Indonesia's dry natural rubber exports,
partially the world dry natural rubber price has no significant effect on Indonesia's
dry natural rubber exports, as well as world synthetic rubber prices and exchange
rates have a significant effect on Indonesia's dry natural rubber exports.
