Analisis Pemahaman Siswa Sekolah Dasar Suku Talang Mamak Terhadap Tradisi Basolang
This study aims to describe the understanding of elementary school students of the Talang Mamak tribe towards the Basolang tradition. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method with an ethnographic type of research. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. The data obtained were then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model that is data reduction, data display and data verification. The results of this study indicate that the understanding of the Talang Mamak Tribe Elementary School students towards the Basolang tradition is at a moderate level of understanding. This is evidenced from the results of interviews conducted by researchers. Overall, students were able to answer the six indicators used by researchers, these indicators were: 1) Able to explain about the Basolang tradition, 2) Able to tell about the Basolang tradition, 3) Able to explain the tools used in the Basolang tradition, 4) Able to describe activities in the Basolang tradition, 5) Be able to describe the parties involved in the activities of the Basolang tradition, and 6) Be able to conclude about the Basolang tradition. Based on the research conducted, elementary school students of the Talang Mamak tribe still know and understand the Basolang tradition. This is because the Talang Mamak tribal community still holds firmly to their customs.
