Perancangan Sistem Informasi Geografis Pemetaan Pondok Pesantren Di Pekanbaru Berbasis Web

The research was conducted at Pekanbaru City Education Office, encountered
problems including that several Pondok Pesantren had no information to explain
how the advanteges existed in each pondok pesantren in order to attract the public
to send their children there. This study aims to build a geographic information
system regarding the location of Pondok Pesantren in Pekanbaru City. This system
is designed using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. The
system created includes distribution, pesantren routes, looking for the intended
pondok pesantren and the closest pesantren location from the user’s position. With
the geographic system for mapping the Pondok Pesantren in Pekanbaru City, it is
easier for users to get information on Pondok Pesantren.
