Inventarisasi Dan Analisis Kekerabatan Serta Pemanfaatan Jenis-Jenis Bambu (Bambusoideae) Di Kecamatan Pangkalan Koto Baru Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota Provinsi Sumatra Barat
ABSTRACT
Bamboo is a non-timber forest product that is widely used by the
community. Bamboo plays a role in the hydrological system and soil stability,
especially in areas with high slopes, such as Pangkalan Koto Baru District, Lima
Puluh Kota Regency, West Sumatra Province. The strategic role of bamboo has
not been supported by data on the existence of bamboo. The purpose of this
study was to determine the diversity of bamboo species by conducting an
identification, inventory, analysis of kinship relationships and their use by the
community. This research was conducted using the exploratory method and
semi-structured interview. The relationship between bamboo species was
analyzed using the NTSys pc 2.02 software. The data obtained are presented in
tables, pictures, identification keys, dendrograms and analyzed descriptively. The
results of this study obtained five genera of bamboo (Bambusa, Dendrocalamus,
Gigantochloa, Schizostachyum and Thyrsostachys), 11 species (B. Blumeana, B.
multiplex, B. vulgaris, B. vulgaris var. striata, D. asper, G. hasskarliana, G.
pruriens, S. brachycladum, S. latifolium, S. zollingeri and T. simanesis), and one
variety (striata). Based on 58 morphological characteristics, the bamboo
collection is divided into two main groups with a coefficient of similarity ranging
from 0.39 to 0.71. The main characteristics that classify bamboo species are the
shape of the shoots of the stems of the bamboo shoots, the type of branching, the
diameter of the reeds, and the books of the reeds. Bamboo is used by the
community for food (bamboo shoots), household utensils, fishing rods, stakes,
fences, and greenery.
