Analisis Pengaruh Jumlah User Dan Jarak Pada Virtual Access Point (Vap)
The internet has become a major need to obtain information that supports daily human activities in various fields. To be able to enjoy internet access, a device is needed, namely an Access Point (AP). An access point is a network device that has a transceiver and antenna for transmitting data and receiving signals. Currently, with the development of technology, there are various kinds of access points, one of which is a virtual access point (VAP). Virtual Access Point is a substitute for physical Access Point. The application of Virtual Access Point used for hotspot locations is still very small. It can be seen that almost all places still use physical access points in general to access the internet. Although it can be used as an Access Point, there are several problems due to its virtual nature, namely the unknown performance and quality of the Virtual Access Point network if it is accessed by many users at once and the different access distances to network resources. Therefore, this study will discuss the effect of the number of users and distance on the Virtual Access Point. The focus of the discussion is to see how the quality and performance of the Virtual Access Point network uses the QoS (Quality of Service) method with the Throuhghput, Packet Loss and Delay parameters. The average QoS index for each parameter is 4 and based on the TIPHON Standard, Index 4 is categorized in the Very Good category
