Pengelolaan Bandwidth Dengan Metode Hierarchichal Token Bucket (Htb) Di Kantor Kua Kecamatan Limapuluh
ABSTRACT
Internet network is a leading technology in this era of globalization. The use of the internet network is important for companies in big cities and state government agencies to use. The Lima Puluh District KUA Office is a government agency that initially did not have any bandwidth distribution which caused disruption to the performance of the office activities of the employees who were there. The Hierarchichal Token Bucket (HTB) method is very effective to implement in the distribution of bandwidth, with the Commited Information Rate (CIR) and Maximum Information Rate (MIR), making the Bandwidth distribution able to determine the bandwidth limit for each client. In the test carried out for 4 days with 2 times in the morning and afternoon, it was obtained with the results of testing the Quality of Service (QoS) parameter through employee activities of 7025 kbits/s with an index value of 4 categories Very Good for the throughput parameter value. 0% for the Packet Loss parameter value with an index value of 4 in the Very Good category and 66.43 ms for the Delay parameter value with an index value of 4 in the Very Good category. By using a proxy as a remote in bandwidth distribution, it makes the client more structured, where each client is given a bandwidth limit or limit at first, so that all clients in the KUA Office get a definite bandwidth allotment.
