ABSTRACT
Cloud computing is a technology that can be applied in various fields, one of that is for education. Cloud Computing is a client-server model. Where resources such as servers, storage, network and software are used as a service. SMKN 1 Merbau is a school located in Teluk Belitung, Merbau District, Kepulauan Meranti Regency. One of the majors at the school is Computer and Network Engineering and one of the subject is basic programming. The problem that occurs in these fields is that the number of computers is not sufficient for the number of students. The number of computers is less than the number of students. At the school, not all students have laptop or their laptop that do not have good specifications to do programming. To overcome the problem faced by students, a cloud computing system was created using Software as a Service (SaaS). This service provides a system that has been configured in the cloud to create programs according to the programming language used. This system is built based on the website. The method used in this research is the waterfall method. This research produces a cloud computing service that can make it easier for students to learn basic programming.
