Manajemen Bandwidth Jaringan Sman 1 Rengat Barat Menggunakan Metode Hierarchical Token Bucket
ABSTRACT
At this time, the development of technology and knowledge is advancing very rapidly. From the rapid development of technology, namely in terms of the internet network. This internet network is widely used in government agencies in the field of education. SMAN 1 Rengat Barat is one of the government agencies that uses the internet network to support daily activities such as downloading and uploading files, browsing, streaming video, video conferencing, and others. Due to the large amount of traffic that occurs on the internet and the uneven distribution of bandwidth on the network, it causes access limits and loading when accessing the internet. To overcome the problems that exist in the division of segments in internet access, bandwidth management using the Hierarchical Token Bucket method can be applied. This method will later divide the packets that are usually accessed by users by providing a limit at and max limit so that when many users are connected to the network. With bandwidth management allows each user to get network bandwidth evenly. Based on the results obtained by implementing bandwidth management using the Hierarchical Token Bucket (HTB) method at SMAN 1 Rengat Barat, it can be concluded that the throughput parameter is more stable in the range of 6400 k/bit, while the packet loss parameter has decreased by 14%. , and the delay parameter has decreased from the previous highest number of 1049 ms to 220 ms.
