ABSTRACT
This study focuses on the implementation of bandwidth using the HTB (Hierarchical Token Bucket) method and network testing before and after using HTB. The purpose of this research is to improve the existing network according to the needs of each user, by increasing the optimization of bandwidth using the HTB method where the research location is at PT. Mandau Adista Swastika Pekanbaru. The method used in this study is the HTB method by designing bandwidth management. In this research, MikroTik Router is used to turn the computer into a network router. This operating system is very suitable for computer network administration purposes, for example to build small and large scale computer network systems. Based on the results of research conducted on the distribution test at PT. Mandau Adista Swastika Pekanbaru was successfully applied and has been in accordance with the wishes of internet usage for downloading, streaming and browsing management was carried out bandwidth using the Hierarchical Token Bucket (HTB) method and calculating Qos parameters to determine network quality, it can be concluded that there was an increase in network quality after the implementationmanagement bandwidth that can be seen from the results of testing the Qos parameters before bandwidth and after bandwidth management is carried out.
