Pengaruh Naungan Terhadap Produksi Biomassa Dan Kadar N Berbagai Legume Cover Crop (LCC) Merambat
The use of legume cover crops for erosion control and to provide
additional N to the soil is well established. An experiment was conducted in the
shade house to study the effect of different shade levels on the growth and
biomass production potential of LCC. This experiment was started to determine
the effect of four different shade treatments N1 (0%, control) N2 (55%) N3 (65%)
N4 (75%) on morphology, physiology and yield of LCC. The plots were split into
five rates of LCC (MB, CM, CP, PJ, MP) in a split-plot experimental plan.
The results showed that the provision of shade density of 55%, 65%, 75%
on LCC decreased plant length increase, leaf number increase, leaf area
increase, fixed N, chlorophyll, photosynthesis rate, and biomass. Mucuna
pruriens had higher biomass and more N than Pueraria javanica, Centrosema
pubescens, Mucuna bracteata and Calopogonium mucunoides under 55%, 65%,
75% shade conditions.
Keywords: LCC, Mucuna pruriens, shade.
