Pengetahuan Mahasiswa Pre-Klinik Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Riau Tentang Covid-19 Dan Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhinya
COVID-19 is a new disease that has spread throughout the world. To overcome it, it is necessary to coordinate all levels of society in efforts to prevent, break the chain of spread and treatment of COVID-19. The purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge of pre-clinical students of Riau University about COVID-19 in order to prepare pre-clinical students as health promotion assistants in the community. This research was conducted during February – March 2022. The design of this study was cross-sectional analytic with a sample of 235 pre-clinical students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Riau. This study used primary data obtained from filled questionnaires via google-form and tested using the association test with a significance level of p < 0.05. Based on the results of the univariate analysis, it was found that 20 students (8.5%) had good knowledge, 170 students (72.3%) had sufficient knowledge, and 45 students (19.1%) had poor knowledge about COVID-19. The results of the bivariate analysis of the influencing factors such as age, gender and generation level, showed that there was a relationship between age (p = 0.036), class level (p = 0.018) and knowledge level. And there was no relationship between gender (p = 0.787), resources (p > 0,05) with the level of knowledge of COVID-19.
