Profil Jumlah Trombosit Pada Anak Pasca Bedah Mayor Yang Dirawat Di Picu Rsud Arifin Achmad Periode 2018-2020
Post major surgery pediatric patients who were treated in PICU require comprehensive monitoring including platelet count. Platelet count in post major surgery patients can be increased due to excessive release of cytokines that stimulates thrombopoiesis. While the decrease in platelet count can be caused by hemodilution, the increase in platelet uses or pathological processes exist before and after surgery. The purpose of this study is to describe the platelet count of pediatric patients at PICU RSUD Arifin Achmad after major surgery in 2018-2020. The design of this study is cross sectional using medical records with 110 samples. The results showed that the majority of the sample was in the ≤ 4 year category (50%) and were male (66,4%). The most surgical type used was elective surgery (70%) with duration ≤2 hours (74,5%). 1,8% of patients had surgical site infection with a platelet count above normal value. Overall, the result of this study indicated that platelet count of pediatric patients who were treated in PICU of RSUD Arifin Achmad in 2018-2020 by surgical type and duration of surgery were in normal value (150-450 x 109/L).
