Pekanbaru City from February to April 2022.
Based on the results of this study, age, education and income do not affect
participation in household waste management, presumably because the
distribution of respondents based on age is mostly still productive, while judging
from the level of education, it is concentrated in the high school category and the
income is quite high.
Then, the discussions carried out can function as disseminators of
information so that even though the level of education is different, the information
disseminated will also be accepted by respondents with low levels of education.
Thus, the level of education does not significantly determine community
participation in household waste management.
Based on the results of the study, it is also seen that there is an influence
between knowledg e and perception on participation in household waste

management. In addition, the perception variable is the most influential variable
on community participation in waste management, zzz that the better one's
perception, the more interested one is to participate in an activity, that an action
taken by a person will not be realized immediately because supporting factors or
