Pengelolaan Tanah Terkontaminasi Minyak Bumi Jenis Minyak Berat(Heavy Oil) Menggunakan Teknik Fitoremediasi
This study aims to obtain information whether the phytoremediation used
vetiver grass (V. zizanoides) is an effective method in degrading Petroleum
Hydrocarbon (PH) of crude oil (heavy oil) contaminated soil at PT. XY. In
addition, the purpose of this study was to analyze the socio-economic impact of
phytoremediation on local communities. The research was conducted with a
quantitative approach through survey methods and direct observation in the field
accompanied by sampling of vetiver grass and PH plants. Data analysis was
carried out using the level of effectiveness of phytoremediation and Completely
Randomized Design (CRD). Based on the calculation of the PH value, there was a
decrease in the PH value on the soil contaminated with heavy oil. However, the
level of PH reduction is still not effective for reducing PH on soils contaminated
with heavy oil, at 0.8% and 0.9%. This is because the percentage change in the
PH level is still below 50% of each treatment. Therefore, it can be said that the
phytoremediation process using vetiver on land contaminated with heavy oil is
still less effective. In addition, the processing of vetiver in oil-contaminated areas
is still limited to the phytoremediation process, without any follow-up processing
of the product into products that have selling value or economic value.
