Komparasi Sifat Fisik Dan Kimia Tanah Serta Produktivitas Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis Guineensis Jacq.) Pada Land Application (LA) Dan Non Land Application (NLA) Di Kebun PTPN V Sei Buatan
The area of oil palm plantations in Riau Province is 2,323,831 ha with
production reaching 7,136,648 tons. The main problem in land use for agriculture
and especially plantations is the low fertility rate of soil caused by a number of
chemical constraints that limit crop growth such as problems of health, nutrient
availability and low content of soil organic matter.
During the process of processing palm fruit into palm oil in the palm oil
industry produced liquid waste that still contains oil and other organic
components. To reduce the impact caused, the liquid waste of the palm oil
industry can be used as fertilizer through the process with the Land Application
method.
This research aims to find out some of the physical and chemical
properties of the soil and the productivity of oil palm on land that is given land
application and not given land application in artificial PTPN V Sei plantations.
The study period is 4 months from September to December 2020. Soil sampling is
taken at a depth of 0-30 cm and 30-60 cm. Each land consists of three sample
points taken at random, then analyzed in the chemistry laboratory, from the
results of the analysis that has been done, obtained data on the nature of soil
physics, soil chemistry and productivity, namely BD, moisture content, porosity,
permeability, soil texture KTK, C organic, N, P, K, bunch weight, number of
bunches and cluster diameter. Observational data is analyzed using the T test and
multiple regression correlation analysis. The results showed that the physical
properties of the soil, soil chemistry and productivity on land provided by LA are
better than NLA land on oil palm trees which are characterized by higher water
content, porosity, permeability, C organic, N, P, K, KTK and productivity values.
