Strategi Pengembangan Ekowisata Mangrove Kecamatan Pariaman Utara Provinsi Sumatera Barat

The development of ecotourism is an alternative for an area and still maintains the preservation of the coastal environment. West Sumatra is one of the provinces that has quite a lot of potential natural resources such as alluring natural beauty so that West Sumatra is one of the provinces that is a mainstay tourist destination on the island of Sumatra. One of the tourist destinations in West Sumatra is in Apar Village, North Pariaman District, Pariaman City, namely "Apar Pariaman Mangrove Park" which has an area of 10.62 ha. The development of ecotourism will certainly have an influence on people's lives so that there are changes in the economic and social ecological aspects of the local community. Some of these changes are positive and some are negative. To achieve ecotourism, it is necessary to develop ecotourism principles in order to achieve sustainability. In addition, through ecotourism-based development, not only as environmental conservation but also tourism trips as well as a good educational forum and local communities also contribute to ecotourism-based tourism activities.
This study aims to analyze the composition of mangroves, the structure of the mangrove community, analyze the suitability of the mangrove ecotourism area, estimate the economic valuation of mangroves and analyze the strategy for developing the Apar Pariaman Mangrove Park Ecotourism area, North Pariaman District, West Sumatra Province. The approach in this research is descriptive qualitative and quantitative approach, while the research station is determined by purposive sampling. In this study there are 3 stations where each station consists of 3 sampling points and each sampling point has 3 plots. Determination of respondents in this study was taken based on the purposive random sampling method as many as 55 respondents.
Based on the identification of mangrove species carried out at 3 research stations in the Apar Mangrove Park area, the composition of mangroves consists of 6 true mangrove species, namely Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizophora apiculata, Sonneratia caseolaris, Thespesia Populnea, Acanthus illicifolius, and Nypa fruticans and 2 associated species, namely Dolichandrone spathacea. , and Oncosperma tigillarium. The total density at station I is 2066,68 ind/ha, station II is 2633,32 ind/ha and station III the total density value is 2833,33 ind/ha. Of the five measurement parameters, namely, mangrove thickness, mangrove density, mangrove species, tides and biota objects. The matrix of the suitability of the mangrove ecotourism area in the Apar Mangrove Park area, then the S1 category (very suitable) is obtained with a percentage of 86,84%. The total economic value

of the mangrove ecosystem in the Apar Mangrove Park area is Rp. 1,915,402,145.00,-/ Year.
While the strategy for developing mangrove ecotourism in the Apar Mangrove Park area has strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats through a SWOT analysis approach, it is found that the ecotourism development strategy in the Apar Mangrove Park area is in quadrant I, which means it is in the SO strategy. The existence of a situation in quadrant I is a very profitable situation, this is because it has opportunities and strengths so that it can take advantage of existing opportunities. The strategy that must be applied in this condition is to support an aggressive ecotourism development policy in the Apar Mangrove Park area (growth oriented strategy). With 2 priority strategies in its development, namely: (1) Maximizing strategic locations and providing good service. (2) Carry out more promotions by utilizing strategic locations through social media.
