Hubungan Asupan Serat Dengan Kejadian Konstipasi Pada Balita Di Kota Pekanbaru
Toddlers need adequate nutritional intake. If not fulfilled it will cause health problems, one of which is constipation. How to overcome constipation is to eat fibrous foods that can bind water in the colon, causing the desire to defecate. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between fiber intake and the incidence of constipation in children under five. This type of research is analytic with cross sectional method. Data were taken using a direct interview questionnaire, the research sample amounted to 88 people obtained by purposive sampling technique. Chi-square test was performed to determine the relationship between fiber intake and constipation. The results showed that most toddlers had a good fiber intake (51.1%), most toddlers who experience constipation have less fiber intake (88,6%) and there was a significant relationship between fiber intake and the incidence of constipation (p
