Abstract
Introduction: Nursing Profession Student is one of the important roles in preventing the occurrence of phlebitis in the hospital. This study aims to describe the behavior of nursing profession students in an effort to prevent the occurrence of phlebitis in hospitals. Methods: This research is a quantitative research with a descriptive design. The sample of this study is 116 nursing profession sudent who were selected using the total sampling technique. The data was collected using a knowledge, attitude and action questionnaire that had been tested its validity and reliability, Data were analysed using univariate analysis. Results: The results of this study depict that most of the respondents are in the age range of 17- 25 years totaling 116 nursing profession student 100%, most of them are female 96,6%, the majority are muslim 90,5%, can complete the nursing profession in 2 semesters 100%, had good knowledge 56.2% in the prevention of phlebitis, good attitude 65.5% in the prevention of phlebitis, and good action 90.5% in the prevention of phlebitis in hospital. Conclusion: Nursing Profession Students have good knowledge, attitudes and actions in preventing the occurrence of phlebitis in hospitals.
