Analisis Tegangan Screw Conveyor Tipe 12s624r Dengan Memodifikasi Panjang Poros

ABSTRACT
Screw conveyor is a type of conveyor often used to move semi-solid materials. This examination will analyze the stress on the screw conveyor type 12S624R by modifying the length of the shaft. According to the Screw Conveyor Catalog & Engineering Manual, the length of each screw shaft for a screw conveyor with a diameter of 0,3 meters is about 3,75 meters, if the screw conveyor need length more than 3,75 meters its need few screw shaft put together with hanger until the lenght needed is required. Screw length of this examination is 15 meters, which is need three hangers to be used. But modified by using only one hanger to see what happen to the shaft. The method used is to do a comparison between manual calculations with Inventor software. Based on the data collected, three stages were used, which is screw conveyor without load, screw conveyor with standart load, and screw conveyor with ten times more than standart load. The first calculation result which is, stress value is 76,351 MPa with a deflection is 24,761 mm, for the analysis results obtained in the Inventor software which is stress is 27,42 MPa, a displacement is 1,93 mm and a safety factor is 15 ul. The second calculation result which is, stress value is 100,327 MPa with a deflection is 32,536 mm, for the analysis results obtained in the Inventor software which is stress is 36,01 MPa, a displacement is 2,536 mm and a safety factor is 15 ul. The second calculation result which is, stress value is 316,115 MPa with a deflection is 102,518 mm, for the analysis results obtained in the Inventor software which is stress is 113,5 MPa, a displacement is 7,991 mm and a safety factor is 15 ul.
