Prediksi Daerah Penangkapan Ikan Layang (Decapterus Sp) Di Perairan Selat Malaka Menggunakan Maximum Entropy
Abstract
Scad fishing ground must be predicted so that fishing activities can be productive,
overcoming uncertainty of fishing ground and catches. One approach used to
predict fishing ground accurately is to combine environmental variables that affect
the presence of scad. This study aims to predict scad fishing ground based on sea
surface temperature and chlorophyll-a in waters of Malacca Strait using maximum
entropy. This study utilizes Google Earth Engine module and maximum entropy
in statistical computing and R graphs. The results showed existence of scad is
found in HSI values ranging from 0.1 to 1 so that fishing ground of scad are
mostly found in waters of East Sumatera to the central region of the Malacca
Strait. Scad should be done in east season, which is indicated by a higher AUC
value than other fishing seasons, which is 0.874, which means that results of test
data model have good criteria. The results of response curve for the suitability of
scad habitat to sea surface temperature, which is 30.7 °C and chlorophyll-a, which
is 0.8 mg/m3. The results of jackknife test concluded that chlorophyll-a had more
influence on presence of scad in waters of Malacca Strait.
Keywords: chlorophyll-a, Malacca Strait, maximum entropy, scad, sea surface
