ABSTRACT
Stow net is a static catching tool and operated around the beach with the target species of catch are shrimp and small fish. The study aims to find out the composition of the cleaner catch during the day and night and to find out the comparison of the catch by weight and tail number. The method used in this study is the survey method, researchers go down directly to the field to retrieve the capture of the catches in the fishing ground. The analysis of data used in this study was to conduct a t test (sudjana, 1982) to determine the difference between day and night catch results and chi square test to determine the composition of catch yields during day and night. From the calculation of the results of the catch at day and night there is a difference in the catch result that is with (α) = 0.05 and db= 9 then obtained, thit= 2,589 with the signification value of 0.029 which means that H1 is accepted, meaning there is a difference in the catch result based on the amount of weight (kg) at day and night. While based on the number of tails the value of the thit = -1,871 with the signification value of 0.094, it means that H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected where there is no significant difference if reviewed based on the number of tails. For chi square test, the value of X2 = 2.06 with Xtab = 16.92 where H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected which means there is no significant difference in the composition of the cleaner catch during the day and night.
