Abstract
Pasumpahan Island is one of the tourist destinations located in Padang City, West Sumatra Province, this island is included in the Regional Marine Conservation Area. So the management of this island must be in accordance with applicable regulations so that environmental degradation does not occur. Based on the results of the study, the value of the tourism suitability index on Pasumpahan Island based on the parameters of environmental physical conditions is 85.71% the value obtained from the measurement of environmental physical parameters and processed using the IKW formula, this result is included in the S1 category (very suitable) this is supported with water quality index measurement data processed using the appropriate storet method in the Decree of the Ministry of the Environment No. 113 of 2003, the storet method is a method that compares the results of measuring water quality parameters with applicable water quality standards. Data processing of water quality measurement results using the storet method got results with a score of 0, into the very good category and in accordance with the quality standards used in this study (Appendix VIII of Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021)
