Toksisitas Pb Dan Cd Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Kandungan Klorofil-A Dunaliella Sp.
Abstract
Dunaliella sp is one of primary producer that play an important role in food chain. Pb and Cd are non-essential heavy metals that are toxic to aquatic organisms. This study aimed to determine the toxicity of Pb and Cd on Dunaliella sp based on IC50, LOEC, and NOEC values and chlorophyll-a content after Pb and Cd in Dunaliella sp. The research was conducted in March-May 2022 at the Waste Treatment Laboratory of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Riau University, Pekanbaru. The experimental method uses a complete randomized design (RAL) 2 factor 5 treatment levels with three tests. The results shown that the heavy metals Pb and Cd reduced the density of Dunaliella sp. Increasing the concentration Pb and Cd respectively 0.0451 mg/L and 0.2529 mg/L, LOEC Pb and Cd were 0.032 mg/L and 0.32 mg/L,. NOEC Pb and Cd were < 0.032 mg/L and 0.18 mg/L. Based on IC50, LOEC, and NOEC data, Pb is more toxic than Cd against Dunaliella sp. Increasing the concentration of Pb and Cd will decrease concentration of chlorophyll-a.
