Analisis Pemanfaatan Limbah Sabut Kelapa Untuk Peningkatan Pendapatan Petani Kelapa Di Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir

This study aims to analyze the income of coconut farmers who utilize and process coconut coir in Indragiri Hilir Regency.
Determination of the research area and the method used in this study was carried out by Snowball Sampling with a sample of 25 respondents, consisting of 18 coconut farmers processing coarse coir and 7 coconut farmers processing fine coir. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained from direct interviews with respondents, while secondary data was obtained from institutions such as the Central Statistics Agency for Riau Province, the Central Statistics Agency for Indragiri Hilir Regency and the Riau Provincial Bappedalitbang. The data analysis method used is the analysis of the quantitative descriptive and difference test and the average difference test (Independent Sample T-test).
The results of this study indicate that there are benefits for coconut farmers in the form of increased income from coir processing and there is a difference in income between coconut farmers who sell coarse coir and coconut farmers who process fine coir where the income of coarse coir farmers is lower than that of fine coir farmers who more increasing.
