Potensi Sumur Bor Sebagai Sumber Air Bersih Masyarakat Di Kelurahan Sri Meranti Kota Pekanbaru

Clean water is a basic human need that greatly affects life activities,
especially in Sri Meranti Village, Pekanbaru City, were part of the area on peat
land, so the Government and non-governmental organizations provide drilled wells
as a source of clean water for the community. This study aims to determine the
availability of drilled wells water, the role and sustainability strategy in fulfilling
clean water for the community in Sri Meranti Village, Pekanbaru City. The result
shows that the availability of drilled wells at the research location totaled 14 points
10 of them are still operating, where from an ecological perspective, the water
produced meets the quality standards of several analytical parameters from
PerMenKes number 492 of 2010, from a social perspective the existence of drilled
wells water brings many benefits to the community in fulfilling clean water as well
as being a business opportunity and from an economic perspective, drilled wells
could meet the needs of drinking water so that they can reduce public spending to
meet drinking water’s needs. The sustainability strategy obtained is the SO strategy
which makes drilled wells water one of the solutions for clean water sources and
drinking water that are easy and cheap as well as being an opportunity to improve
the community economy.
