industry can reach 409 tons/day and is only managed in landfills. waste Fly
ash that only accumulates in landfills will endanger the health of the people
living around the landfilland can have a negative impact on the environment and
must be addressed immediately. One of the environmental treatments that can be
applied is to utilize fly ash a road construction material, namely as a raw material
forsubgrade.
This study aims to analyze the existing conditions of fly ashutilization,
analyze the use fly ash as a road subgrade solid waste fly ash as a road subgrade
Pulp and Paper Pangkalan Kerinci industry. The method used in this study was
direct observation in the field and followed by laboratory tests to analyze the
feasibility of using fly ash and the results of the CBR test on the soil at the
application trial location. While social and economic conditions are carried out
by giving questionnaires to stakeholders involved in the use of fly ash.
The results showed that the conditions of landfill in the Pulp and Paper
Pangkalan Kerinci industry were increasingly limited, the results of the TCLP
(Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure) test on fly ash that had been
analyzed obtained a value below the quality standard of PP No. 22/2021
Appendix XI, there were many locations within the Pulp and Paper Pangkalan
Kerinci industrial environment for the application of fly ash as a road
subgrade,the results of the CBR value reached 47% as well as social and
economic conditions that support the use of fly ash as a road subgrade.
Fly ash produced from the Pulp And Paper Pangkalan Kerinci industry is
suitable for use with fly ash with a SiO2, A12O3, Fe2O3 of 75.19%. While the CBR
value test results obtained very good values in the range of 36% -47% using fly
ash 100% road subgradeat the application trial location.
The strategies that have been successfully formulated include: Increasing
the types of use of fly ash by collaborating with the local government and the
private sector, conducting research and new innovations on the utilization of fly
ash with academics and expanding collaboration between other industries that
utilize fly ash as a road subgrade.
