Hubungan Kerapatan Lamun Dengan Kepadatan Gastropoda Di Pantai Teluk Bakau Kabupaten Bintan Kepulauan Riau
Abstract
The presence of gastropod is related to the seagrass condition. A study purposes to understand the relationship between seagrass and gastropod densities in the Teluk Bakau Beach Bintan, Bintan Regency Riau Islands has been conducted in April-May 2022. There was a survey method with three stations, namely the area close to human inhabitant (St1), ecotourism area (St2), and natural area with no human activity (St3). Samplings were conducted 3 times, with intervals once/ 10 days for a month. Sampling was carried out using 3 line transects at each station, each line transect has 3 of 1x1m2 quadrant plots. Results shown that the seagrass and gastropod densities in each station was different, they were 99 plants/m2 seagrass and 14 organisms/m2 gastropod in St1, 151 plants/m2 and 20 organisms/m2 in St2 and 220 plants/m2 and 80 organisms/m2 in St3. Totally they were 5 seagrass and 10 gastropod species found. In general there was a strong relationship between seagrass and gastropod densities in the research area and it indicates that the presence of gastropod is strongly affected by the seagrass population.
