Analisis Produksi Serasah Mangrove Di Desa Mengkapan Kecamatan Sungai Apit Kabupaten Siak Provinsi Riau

Mangroves are flora which grow in coastal area and have high tolerance on salinity. Mangroves have an important role in nutrient cycle because it produces nutrient for surriunding ecosystem.Indonesia has wide mangroves,one of them was in Riau provincy.This Research was conducted in September 2022 in Mengkapan Village,Sungai Apit District,Siak Regency,Riau Province. The purpose of this research was to know the production of mangrove litterfall and each component(leaves,twigs,fruits and flowers).The method used in this research is a survey method and the determination of the sampling location by purposive sampling. The water quality measured in this study were salinity ranging from 20-23‰,pH 7-7,7,temperatures 28-39C,wind velocity 1,97-2,60 ㎡/s and rainfall 2,72-7,24 mm/day.Based on the results of the study,the average of litterfall production ranged from 0,91-32,14 g/㎡/day or 3,32-11,48 tons/ha/year. Data analyzis showed that litterfall production had a positive correlatoin with humidity and rainfall, a significant value was found on the third week.Based on the one way Anova Test,it found that P was 0,109>0,05 it meant the litterfall production between stastion was not significantly different. The result of simple linear regression showedthat the effect from mangrove density to litterfall production T was 0,027
