Pengaruh Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah Dan Disiplin Kerja Guru Terhadap Kinerja Guru SMA Negeri Kecamatan Pangkalan Kerinci Kabupaten Pelalawan
Teacher performance is the main target in improving the quality of education in general. Therefore, improving teacher performance needs serious attention from various parties and efforts to improve factors related to teacher performance, such as principal school leadership and teacher work discipline. Teacher performance will be high if the principal's leadership is adequate and the teacher has high work discipline. Teacher performance can be improved by the principal's leadership which can encourage teachers to have high work discipline towards the school to show their best performance in achieving school goals. Teacher performance is still relatively low. This can be seen from several facts that occur, including that there are still some teachers who are less successful in designing Learning Implementation Plans (RPP), they use a copy-paste culture in designing Learning Implementation Plans (RPP), there are still teachers in implementing learning using conventional methods, some teachers have not used various media and learning resources, and there are still teachers who are less responsible in carrying out their duties. There are still those who leave teaching hours for personal gain. This study aims to determine the effect of the principal's leadership and teacher work discipline on the performance of State Senior High School teachers, Pangkalan Kerinci District, Pelalawan Regency. The method in this study is survey research using a quantitative approach. The source of data used in this research is primary data.
Primary data was obtained directly from respondents through a questionnaire using the Google form for teachers of Pangkalan Kerinci Public High School, Pelalawan Regency. This study describes the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable and looks for whether or not there is a pattern of relationship or influence between the principal's leadership variable and teacher work discipline on teacher performance. Then the population in this study were all 157 State Senior High School teachers, Pangkalan Kerinci District, Pelalawan Regency. Based on the calculation results, the sample determined in this study amounted to 112 teachers by assessing the number of research samples using the Isaac and Micheal formula. The teacher sample was drawn using a proportionate random sampling technique. The data analysis techniques used in this study were 1) quantitative descriptive analysis test, 2) classical assumption test, 3) partial t-test, and 4) simultaneous F test.
Based on the study's results, the following conclusions were obtained: 1) Principal leadership positively and significantly affected teacher performance at State Senior High School, Pangkalan Kerinci District, Pelalawan Regency, by 20.0%. This means that the two variables can go hand in hand. The more conducive the school principal's leadership, the better the teacher's performance. 2) Discipline of teacher work has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance at SMA Negeri, Pangkalan Kerinci District, Pelalawan Regency, by 62.8%. This means that the teacher's work discipline variable affects teacher performance at Pangkalan Kerinci State Senior High School, Pelalawan Regency, where teacher work discipline will influence teacher activity in schools to achieve maximum teacher performance. 3) Principal leadership and teacher work discipline positively and significantly impact the performance of State Senior High School teachers in Pangkalan Kerinci District, Pelalawan Regency, by 62.9%. Based on the findings of this study, the leadership of the school principal and teacher work discipline have a significant effect on teacher performance which is acceptable. This

means that the better the principal's leadership and the teacher's work discipline, the higher the teacher's performance.
