Professionalism is one of the solid foundations in carrying out tasks or work, and this can only be done by people who are experts in their fields. Pinggir District Public High School needs teachers who have good professionalism. Based on the initial survey of the research, it was obtained an overview of the professionalism of Pinggir District Vocational High School teachers who needed to be improved. There are several factors that influence teacher professionalism, namely managerial competence and academic supervision. With this supervision activity, it is possible to identify the weaknesses as well as the advantages of teachers in carrying out learning through a direct causal relationship that is quite significant between the principal's managerial competence and teacher performance in teaching.
The purpose of this study was to describe and find out whether there is an influence of managerial competence and supervision simultaneously on the professionalism of public high school teachers in Pinggir District.
This type of research is survey research with a quantitative research approach. The population in this study were all 175 public high school teachers in Pinggir District, Bengkalis Regency, which were divided into 6 public high schools in Pinggir District. Meanwhile, the sample of this research was 122 Pinggir State Senior High School teachers. Data collection techniques, namely documentation and questionnaires (questionnaire). The research procedure first conducted an instrument test to determine the validity and reliability of the instrument which was carried out on 32 teachers other than teachers who were used as research samples. Furthermore, the questionnaire that had been tested was given to 122 teachers as a research sample. Data analysis used is descriptive statistics and inferential statistics.
The descriptive results of the research show that the category of teacher professionalism is in the medium category, the managerial competency category is in the medium category and the academic supervision category is in the medium category. Based on the hypothesis test and the correlation coefficient, it was found that, first, the first hypothesis which reads that there is a significant influence between described by each increase of one unit in the competency variable (X1) on teacher professionalism (Y) is accepted, it is known that the value is sig = 0.000. The sig value is 0.000 < 0.05. The linear equation shows that Y = 24,066 + 0.746X1. Constant values and b values indicate positive values. Thus it can be concluded that the relationship between variables is significant and positive. As for the correlation coefficient of this variable is 0.343, it is also known that the determination value (r2) is described by each increase of one unit in the managerial competence variable (X1) on Teacher Professionalism (Y) of 0.343 or 34.3%. Or in other words managerial competence has an effect of 34.3% on teacher professionalism.

Second, the second hypothesis which states that there is a significant influence between the means of academic supervision (X2) on teacher professionalism (Y) is accepted, it is known that the value of sig = 0.000. The linear equation shows that Y = 4,577 + 0.384X2. Constant values and b values indicate positive values. Thus it can be concluded that the relationship between variables is significant and positive. The sig value is 0.000 < 0.05. The correlation coefficient of this variable is 0.384, so it is also known that the determination value (r2) of academic supervision (X2) on teacher professionalism (Y) is 0.489 or 48.9%. Or in other words, academic supervision has an effect of 48.9% on teacher professionalism.
Third, testing the third hypothesis shows that managerial competence (X1) academic supervision (X2) has a significant effect on teacher professionalism (Y). Or in other words, the third hypothesis is accepted. The linear equation shows that Y = 7.649 + 0.575 X1 + 0.269 X2. Constant values and values a and b show positive values. Thus it can be concluded that the relationship between variables is significant and positive. it is also known that the determination value (r 2) of managerial competency leadership (X1) and academic supervision (X2) on teacher professionalism (Y) is 0.467 or 46.7%. Or in other words, managerial competence and academic supervision have an effect of 46.7% on teacher professionalism.
