Efek Frekuensi Pemberian Pupuk Anorganik Pada Beberapa Intensitas Pengolahan Tanah Terhadap Sifat Fisik Tanah, Kadar Hara Daun Dan Pertumbuhan Tanaman Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis Guineensis Jacq) Pada Tahap Replanting

HENDRA PANGONDIAN SIAHAAN / 2010247605 - Nama Orang;

Oil palm is a plantation crop that generates vegetable oil, which is in high
demand in society. Due to the rising demand for vegetable oil, actions must be
taken to increase palm oil production by replanting existing land rather than
opening new oil palm plantation lands. Applying replanting in small plantations
has the possibility of resulting in issues such as soil compaction and a lack of
nutrients in the soil, which will ultimately affect plant development. NPK
fertilization is used during land cultivation in an effort to solve this issue. The
purpose of this research is to identify the proper fertilization frequency at some
tillage intensity on soil physical properties, leaf nutrition levels, and oil palm
plant growth.
This study was conducted on the Tunas Baru Village Unit Cooperative
oil palm plantation in Paket A Village, Kepenghuluan Suka Maju, Bagan
Sinembah District, Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau Province, which has been
replanted. A Split-Plot Design with a randomized block design (RBD) was applied
in this research, with main plots of tillage intensity and subplots of varied NPK
fertilization frequencies. The main plot consists of 3 levels, including
L0: without tillage, L1: plough treatment 1 time, and L2: plough treatment 2 times.
Subplots consist of 4 levels, including D1: 5 times NPK fertilization, D2: 4 times
NPK fertilization, D3: 3 times NPK fertilization, and D4: 2 times NPK
fertilization. There were 12 treatment combinations with three block,
resulting in 36 experimental units. Each experimental unit comprised two plants,
for a total of 72 plants. The collected data were analyzed using ANOVA and
then evaluated for honest significant differences (HSD) at the 5% level.
The findings showed that the two times NPK fertilizer on two times plough
tillage improved soil physical properties (electrical conductivity, soil water
holding capacity, soil particle density, and total pore space), as well as plant
vegetative growth (increased stem circumference). Plough 2 times resulted
in improving to several soil physical properties (electrical conductivity, soil water
holding capacity, soil bulk density, total pore space, and permeability),
to leaf nutrient levels (leaf N content), and plant vegetative (increase in plant
height and increase in stem circumference). Applying the two times
NPK fertilization resulted in improving in several soil physical properties
(electrical conductivity, soil bulk density, soil particle density, and total soil pore
space), and in plant growth (increased stem circumference). In this research,
the ideal treatment was 2 times NPK fertilizer in 2 times plough as it improved
soil physical properties , leaf nutrient levels, and oil palm plant growth.
xiv
According to the findings, it is recommended to apply NPK fertilizer twice and 2
times plough to increase soil physical properties (electrical conductivity, soil
water holding capacity, soil bulk density, total pore space, and permeability), leaf
nutrition levels (leaf N content), and vegetative growth of oil palm plants (stem
circumference).
