Strategi Pengelolaan Kawasan Restorasi Ekosistem Bersama Masyarakat Semenanjung Kampar
The problems that are often encountered in ecosystem restoration
activities today are no longer just technical forestry issues such as planting and
maintenance, but more importantly social issues as an important part of
ecosystem restoration area management.
This study aims to analyze the existing condition of forest cover, analyze
forest ecosystem management and formulate a management strategy for the
Kampar Peninsula forest ecosystem restoration area with the community. This
research is expected to be able to provide information on strategies for managing
ecosystem restoration areas with the community.
To answer the above objectives, field surveys were carried out,
questionnaires were administered and in-depth interviews were carried
outstakeholder. Ecological, social and economic data were analyzed
descriptively. While the SWOT analysis is used to formulate a management
strategy for the Kampar Peninsula forest ecosystem restoration area with the
community.
The results showed that the peat forest habitat had a fairly high diversity
of tree species with the discovery of 40 tree species belonging to 31 families.
There are 3 (three) orders of mammals that dominate, vizTrangulus, Macaca
nemestrinaand Femoral presbytis. The socio-economic conditions of the
communities around the concession have a dual livelihood pattern. The
community development program around the RER area is called EVDRER
focusing on: Conflict Prevention and Support for Ecosystem Restoration
Implementation, while to support home industry activities a handover of fish meat
milling tools is also carried out as a tool for making fish crackers.
Ecosystem Restoration Area Management Activities consist of
Procurement of seeds, Planting, Maintenance and Restoration of Fauna Habitat,
Forest Protection and Security, Utilization of Non-Timber Forest Products and
Environmental Services, Utilization of timber forest products after reaching a
balance and Plans for Utilization of Ecosystem Restoration Areas.
The strategies formulated in this study include: 1) Increasing
collaboration to preserve forests with communities around the company and
forming good partnership programs, 2) Increasing monitoring of forest protection
against illegal logging and hunting of protected animals, 3) Increasing
collaboration RKT socialization with related agencies and community leaders, 4)
Increasing the competence of the local workforce.
