Ecosystem Restoration Area holding IUPHHK-RE with an area of 39,412
ha located in KPHP Unit XXII Tasik Besar Serkap based on Minister of Forestry
Decree Number: SK 747/Menhut-II/2014 dated 15 September 2014. Kampar
Peninsula ecosystem restoration activities have the potential to create a
conservation and protection of the peat swamp forest ecosystem in the Kampar
Peninsula
This study aims to analyze the existing condition of ecosystem restoration
management on the Kampar peninsula, as well as formulate a collaborative
management strategy involving various parties, as well as the social and
economic conditions of the community by giving questionnaires to stakeholders
involved in managing the Kampar peninsula ecosystem restoration.
The results showed that the condition of forest cover increased by 70.19 ha,
vegetation biodiversity at the PUP Block B tree level, the number of species was
30 species, the number of individuals was 280, the diversity level was 2.72 and the
highest INP was 46.76 for the Ketiau species, the biodiversity vegetation is at the
level of PUP trees. Tobat Sembilan block, the number of species is 28, the number
of individuals is 190, the diversity level is 2.77 and the highest INP is 45.45. for
the type of ketau, data on critically endangered (CR) mammals and aves species
based on baseline data are still found currently Panthera tigris sumatrae and
Manis javanica, there is an agreement with the serkap jaya lestari fishermen
group as a form of collaborative management
The strategies that have been successfully formulated include: Involving
fishing communities in joint management including prohibiting destructive fishing,
logging of trees, not hunting protected animals, conducting research and new
innovations on managing the recovery of understorey vegetation and insect
species.
