Penerapan Metode Pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Materi Budaya Hidup Sehat Ditingkat Sekolah Dasar Negeri 110 Pekanbaru
Education is a necessary process to achieve balance and perfection in the development of
individuals and society. In this way, a nation or state can pass on religious values, culture and
skills to the next generation, so that they can face a brighter future for the nation and state. In
addition, the aims and objectives of education are to improve the abilities possessed by every
human being, both as individuals and as a society as a whole. Everyone has the right to get
education, even it becomes an obligation, especially basic education.
One of the factors contained in elementary school education is to increase the potential of
developing children, and also as an initial basis for learning potential at the next level. In order
for the learning development of elementary school students to run well, a quality learning
process is needed. There are several factors that influence the success of learning in elementary
schools, namely student factors, the environment, teachers, facilities and infrastructure.
Because it is at the elementary school level that a child's ability is developing optimally, so that it
has an impact on student learning abilities. By creating an active, innovative, creative, effective
and fun learning atmosphere. So that it can motivate students to always actively ask questions
and express ideas well and be enthusiastic in participating in learning, then this will have an
impact on achieving optimal learning outcomes.
This research is based on cooperative learning models, one of which is the Two Stay Two
Stray (TSTS) learning method which aims to improve student learning outcomes. In addition, the
Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) learning method can also increase responsibility, work together,
help each other solve problems, and encourage one another.
The research design that researchers applied was Classroom Action Research (CAR), which
consisted of four stages, namely planning, implementing action, observing and reflecting. The
population in this study were 108 students in class V SD Negeri 110 Pekanbaru, while the
sample in this study were students in class VA and VB SD Negeri 110 Pekanbaru totaling 75
people. In this study the sampling technique used simple random sampling. Data analysis uses
quantitative data that can be analyzed descriptively. In this case, the researcher uses descriptive
statistical analysis.
Based on the research results that have been obtained when using the Two Stay Two Stray
(TSTS) learning method, in the pre-action stage the results of the student's average score are
61.35 while in the cycle 1 stage the results of the student's average value are 76.75 and at the
stage of cycle 2 the average value of students was 92.16. It can be seen that each stage has an
increase in student learning outcomes.
Selain itu aktivitas belajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan yaitu dimana selama proses
pembelajaran, siswa lebih bertanggung jawab terhadap tugas yang telah guru berikan selain itu
siswa juga dapat bekerja sama dan saling membantu satu dengan yang lainnya untuk
memecahkan sebuah masalah yang ada pada saat proses pembelajaran, sehingga hal tersebut
dapat mendorong satu dengan yang lainnya.
