Analisis Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Kompetensi Guru Pada SMA Negeri Plus Provinsi Riau (Studi Kasus Saat Covid-19)
SMA Plus State Senior High School Riau is one of the 6 other assisted schools specifically assisted by the Riau Provincial Education Office. Prospective acceptance of SMAN Plus students must go through a screening organized by the Education Office and the school's PPDB Team. SMAN Plus curriculum itself still uses the National curriculum but is accompanied by the implementation of quality management based on ISO 9001. In addition to the very selective procedure for admitting new students, SMAN Plus is also equipped with facilities and with 18 classes, 5 laboratories consisting of a language laboratory, chemistry laboratory, laboratory biology, physics laboratory, computer laboratory as well as a library and a large sports field. SMAN Plus also has two sources of funding, namely originating from BOSNAS and specifically BOSDA. With these two sources of funds, SMAN Plus has the ability to develop and build schools. With all the strengths that SMAN Plus Riau has, SMAN Plus Riau should have teachers who are reliable in terms of competence and have added value. Based on teacher and employee data at SMA Negeri Plus Riau Province, the authors found that out of 40 teachers, 22 had graduated from Masters, 14 did not teach according to their academic qualifications, 17 teachers were certified. Around 55% have masters degrees, 35% are still teaching not in accordance with educational qualifications, and less than 50% of teachers are certified, namely 42.5%. Based on the PKG values in the last three years, namely in 2019, 2020, 2021, there was a decrease in the average PKG value. Of the 25 assessed with civil servant status, namely, 84.11, in 2020 it was 81.142, 80.51.
This study uses a survey method with a technique (factor analysis), namely a regression study which aims to examine the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable. In this study there were three research variables, namely two independent variables consisting of: Education/Training (X1) and Teacher Motivation (X2), as well as one dependent variable, namely Teacher Performance (Y). Based on the results of the study of each variable, there is a positive influence of education and training and teacher motivation jointly on Teacher Competence at SMA Negeri Plus Riau Province with an influence of 48.4% and the rest is influenced by other factors that are not part of the this research. There is a positive influence between training/training on teacher competency at SMA Negeri Plus Riau Province with an influence size of 20,16%. There is a positive influence between teacher motivation on teacher competency at SMA Negeri Plus Riau Province with a magnitude of influence of 9,24%.

When viewed from the magnitude of the influence, the Education/Training has a greater influence than the influence given by teacher motivation, therefore, to improve teacher competence, schools can provide training/training to teachers on an ongoing basis. The provision of training/training must be based on mapping, analysis, programmed, and based on the need to increase teacher competence in order to produce optimal benefits and impacts for teachers. However, the education/training variables and motivational variables together have a large influence compared to them separately. With the training, it will be able to foster new motivation within the teacher himself. The teacher's role in building quality education by improving the quality of the teaching and learning process will continue to grow with good motivation and effective training.
