Analisis Pengaruh Elektrolit Aquos Pada Elektroda Karbon Berbasis Serat Batang Pisang Ambon Lumut
ABSTRACT
The effect of aqueous electrolyte solutions (H2SO4, KOH and Na2SO4) on the performance of supercapacitor Carbon electrodes based on Ambon moss banana stem fibers has been successfully characterized. The Carbon electrode of Ambon moss banana stem fiber is activated using KOH activator of 0.5 M. The preparation of activated Carbon electrodes is prepared in several stages, namely drying by radiation, drying using an oven, pre-carbonization, chemical activation, printing pellets with a hydraulic press, carbonization and physical activation. The process of carbonization and physical activation is analyzed using N2 gas at 600oC and CO2 gas at 850oC. The resulting activated carbon is amorphous in the range of angles 2θ (22o-24o) and (42o-44o). The results of the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy analysis showed the presence of O-H, C-H, C=C, C≡C, C-O and C-C functional groups of samples. Using N2 absorption test, a surface area of 720.79 m2/g is obtained. The best electrochemical properties found in the AL-H2SO4 sample are a specific capacitance of 211 F/g, an optimum energy density of 28 Wh/kg and an optimum power density of 1186.59 W/kg at a current of 5 A.
