Efektivitas Kandungan Nitrogen Dalam Pupuk Berbeda Terhadap Kandungan Klorofil Pada Nannochloropsis Sp. Skala Laboratorium
ABSTRACT
This research was conducted in March 2023. The analysis was carried out at the Laboratory of Marine Microbiology, Department of Marine Science, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Riau. The aim of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of nitrogen content in different fertilizers in promoting cell growth and to determine the most effective fertilizer in supporting higher and faster chlorophyll formation in Nannochloropsis sp. The method used in this study is an experimental method using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 1 factor consisting of 4 treatment levels: the application of Walne fertilizer at a concentration of 1 ml (A), Guillard fertilizer at a concentration of 1.13 ml (B), Urea fertilizer at a concentration of 0.042 g (C), and D (Control) without fertilizer. Each treatment was repeated 3 times, resulting in a total of 12 experimental units. The measurement results of water quality parameters indicate that the growth media conditions are good, with water temperature ranging from 25 to 28°C, water pH ranging from 7 to 9, and an average salinity of 33 ppt. The research findings indicate that the most effective fertilizer medium in promoting growth and supporting higher and faster chlorophyll formation in Nannochloropsis sp. microalgae is the Guillard fertilizer medium, which resulted in a cell population density of (6.438x104 cells/ml) and chlorophyll content of (8.13 μg/l). The Urea fertilizer medium followed with a cell population density of (6.362x104 cells/ml) and chlorophyll content of (7.04 μg/l). Lastly, the Walne fertilizer medium resulted in a cell population density of (6.177x104 cells/ml) and chlorophyll content of (5.33 μg/l).
