Karakteristik Morfologi Tubuh Buah Ganoderma Sp. Penyebab Busuk Pangkal Batang Kelapa Sawit Dan Agen Hayati Trichoderma Sp. Di Kebun Petani Swadaya Kelapa Sawit Rokan Hilir
Oil palm is an important plantation commodity in Indonesia which has high
productivity. The growth of oil palm is inseparable from disease disturbances. Oil
palm stems base rot disease is caused by the fungus Ganoderma sp. Morphological
identification determines the success of stem rot disease control efforts.
Trichoderma sp. is a fungus that is antagonistic to Ganoderma. Trichoderma
originating from areas where the disease is attacked will be an effective biological
controller, this is because the fungus has high adaptability in that area.
This study aims to calculate the level of attack at the base of the oil palm
stem rot, determine the morphological characteristics of the fruit body Ganoderma
sp. found in farmers' gardens and obtained genetic information from indigenous
Trichoderma originating from Ganoderma sp. This research consists of three
stages; field observations, morphological identification of Ganoderma sp,
isolation, and identification of Trichoderma sp. Parameters measured were the
level of attack, the level of damage, the morphology of Ganoderma sp. found in
farmers' gardens, and the species Trichoderma sp. found from the fruiting bodies
of the Ganoderma.
The results showed that the attack rate of Ganoderma causes stem rot
disease at the base of oil palm stems in the Rokan Hilir Palm Oil Independent
Farmers' plantations; Pasir Putih Barat Village 70%, Bangko Sempurna Village
52%, Balai Jaya Kota Village 46%, Bangko Balam Village 38%, while other
villages had not visually shown symptoms of stem rot, oil palm plantations in four
villages experienced severe category attack severity; Bangko Sempurna, Bangko
Balam, Balai Jaya Kota and Pasir Putih Barat, Ganoderma which was found in the
Rokan Oil Palm Independent Smallholders' plantation Downstream is Ganoderma
boninense, Trichoderma associated with fruit bodies Ganoderma boninense is
Trichoderma virens strain F1d5c1 with a similarity level of 99%.
