Kadar Beberapa Hara Makro, Mikro, Pertumbuhan Dan Hasil Kelapa Sawit Di Lahan Gambut Yang Diaplikasi Mikoriza
Peat soil fertility is classified as low which is characterized by soil chemical
properties, including low pH (acid), availability of macro (K, Ca, Mg, P) and micro
(Cu, Zn, Mn, and Bo) nutrients, low cation exchange capacity (CEC) is high but
Base Saturation (BS) is low. In increasing nutrient availability and absorption in
plants, mycorrhizal materials are needed which can increase the ability of plants
to absorb nutrients. Factors inhibiting the growth and development of oil palm due
to low nutrient levels result in non-optimal growth of plants. This study aims to look
at the effect of giving mycorrhiza on macro and micro nutrient uptake in oil palm
and to evaluate plant growth and development with giving mycorrhiza.
This research was conducted at the GNI Palm Plantation PT Gandareah
Hendana, Ukui 2 Village, Ukui District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province. The
study used a survey method and purposive random sampling at different planting
ages (1, 2, 3, 4 years) with mycorrhiza applied at the beginning of planting. Leaf
samples were taken at 3 years of
age. Main samples were taken randomly and analyzed in the laboratory as well as
analysis of variance through the Least Significant Difference (LSD) follow-up test.
Parameters observed included soil nutrients (pH, C-organic, N-Total, C/N, Pavailable,
CEC, BS, Ca-exch, K-exch, Mg-exch), macro nutrients (N, P , K, Mg,
Ca) and micro (B, Cu, Zn) on leaf, observation of mycorrhizal infection, plant
growth consists of number of leaves, length of leaves, number of leaflets, length and
width of leaflets, width, thickness of petiole, Petiole Cross Section (PCS) and
production.
The results showed that improvement of soil nutrient levels in parameters
C/N, P2O5, K-exch, Mg-exch, Ca-exch, and BS. Application of mycorrhiza had a
very significant effect on increasing leaf nutrient P at the age of 1 year as well as
the highest increase in nutrients N and K. Significant increase in vegetative growth
at the age of 3 years on number of leaves, leaves length, number of leaflets, length
and width of leaflets, petiole width, petiole thickness, leaf area, PCS. The highest
root infection value at 1 year after application reached 18% in the moderate
category. In the block where mycorrhiza was applied, production demand
increased up to 13% compared to block reference without mycorrhiza.
