Strategi Kampanye Lingkungan Pada Restorasi Ekosistem Riau (RER) Oleh Grup April Di Hutan Semenanjung Kampar
Riau Ecosystem Restoration (RER) is a collaborative activity sponsored
and funded by the private sector, namely the Asia Pacific Resources International
Limited (APRIL) group, a pulp and paper producer operating in Pangkalan
Kerinci, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province, with partners and the government,
which aims to restore forest functions, maintaining forest biodiversity and helping
the economy of the local community on the Kampar peninsula. Prior to RER
activities, forest damage had occurred due to illegal logging. The purpose of this
study was to find out how the environmental campaign strategy was for the Riau
Ecosystem Restoration (RER) by the April group in the Kampar Peninsula forest.
The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Data
collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observation and
documentation. All RER data obtained through interviews is a reference data that
has been documented in the form of a progress report. The determination of the
subject or informant was carried out purposively, namely being selected based on
certain considerations and criteria consisting of eight related parties. The object
of research is all RER activities on the Kampar Peninsula. Data analysis used the
data analysis model of Miles and Huberman, namely collecting all existing data
and then analyzing it according to the interests of the research objectives.
The research results of the RER environmental campaign strategy consist
of planning, implementing and evaluating the RER environmental campaign.
Broadly speaking, RER activities consist of restoration activities, campaign
activities and community economic empowerment activities. RER's environmental
campaign audience consists of the surrounding community, audiences at the
national level and audiences at the international level. This research produces an
environmental campaign model.
