ABSTRACT
The existence of The Join Business Group Ibu-ibu Kreatif Gerai Kembang Setaman, which until now has survived for more than 12 years, developed to advance the group, is an illustration of the existence of social capital within the group. The existence of social capital encourages the creation of group solidarity in order to achieve success and progress of the group. This study aims to 1) To find out the elements of social capital in the Joint Business Group of Ibu-ibu Kreatif Gerai Kembang Setaman in maintaining the existence of the group. 2) To analyze the strengths and weaknesses of social capital in forms of bonding social capital, bridging social capital and linking social capital owned by The Joint Business Group Ibu-ibu Kreatif Gerai Kembang Setaman, in maintaining the existence of the group. This study uses a descriptive quantitative research approach by collecting data, namely observation, guided interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that in general the social capital owned by The Join Business Group of Ibu-ibu Kreatif Gerai Kembang Setaman is dominated by elements of trust as well as values and norms. Where, onbonding social capital, elements of social network capital, trust and values and norms fall into the strong category. Then on social capital form og bridging social capital, elements of social network capital, trust as well as values and norms are also included in the strong category. While form of linking social capital owned between KUB members and partners, the social capital element of trust and value is included in the strong category, but the social capital element of the network is included in the low category.
