Status Pemanfaatan Ikan Paweh (Osteochillus Hasselti) Di Danau Panjang, Desa Lubuk Siam, Kecamatan Siak Hulu, Kabupaten Kampar, Provinsi Riau
Abstract
Panjang Lake is an oxbow lake of the Kampar River that receive fish, including Osteochillus hasselti during flood season. During dry season this lake was separated completely from the river and it means that there was no fish recruit to the river. Fish capture activities, however, were conducted throughout the year and unfortunately there was no regulation in fishing times and fishing gears allowed as well as fish legal size to be captured. To understand the growth rate, mortality, utilization rate and biological condition of the fish, a research was conducted from July to September 2022. Sampling was carried out once/2 weeks, for a three month period, using bamboo traps and gill nets (1.5 inch mesh size). Parameters measured were length, weight and gonad maturity level of the fish. Data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel, FISAT II and Length-Based Spawning Potential Ratio (LB-SPR) programs. Results shown that the length-weight relationship value of the fish was 3.1934 (positive allometric). Results of FISAT II analysis shown that the value of Von Bertalanffy growth was L∞ = 249.47 mm (asymptotic length), K = 1.51/year, t0 = 0.35/year, mortality rate (Z) = 13.62/year, natural mortality (M) = 1.25/year, fishing mortality (F) = 12.37/year and exploitation rate (E) = 0.91/year. While the results of LB-SPR programs indicate that the utilization status of O. hasselti was 17% and can be categorized as overfishing.
