Abstract
This research was conducted in September 2022 at the Kepenghuluan Sungai Bakau, Sinaboi District, Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau Province.This study aims to analyze the level of social capital of fishermen in the Kepenghuluan Sungai Bakau, and secondly to analyze the effect of social capital on the income of fishermen's households in the Kepenghuluan Sungai Bakau. The research method used in this study is a survey method, namely by conducting field observations, reviewing, observing, and using research instruments in the form of questionnaires or questionnaires made by the researchers themselves. This study used a quantitative approach, the population in this study were fishermen in the Kepenghuluan Sungai Bakau with a total population of 310 fishermen. The research sample was taken using the Slovin formula, which is usually used in survey research with large sample sizes. so we need a formula to get a sample that is small but can represent the entire population in order to obtain a sample/respondent of 40 people. The results of the study are the level of social capital in the Kepenghuluan Sungai Bakau, Sinaboi District on average and is dominated by a high level and the influence caused by social capital after conducting research in this title, it is found that each indicator of social capital has an influence on the income of fishermen in the Kepenghuluan Sungai Bakau.
